COC Run

Hi, Its Steve. Elizabeth ran a cross country race at College of the Canyons tonight. This is a race series which is run every Thursday night in July and August. It draws many of the local high school runners, but runners of all abilities are welcome. I first ran this race back in 1982 and I look forward to running it every year. You can imagine how proud I was to see my wife run it. She did very well for a first timer. The kids and I came out to cheer her on. Here are some pictures.

Carter came out of his room this morning very excited about what he had placed on Jack. To my surprise Jack was contently playing in his crib with a pirate patch over his eye. They sure do love being together!

Our 8 year anniversary

Steve and I got away for a night while my parents were visiting and had a fun 24 hours by ourselves. We ate at this Greek Cafe (a closer picture later so you know not to eat there) that was not good. But still enjoyed looking around at the shops and enjoying the Harbor. We had a Mexican Dinner, a movie, and then took some ice cream back to the hotel. The next morning we got up to run 3 miles TOGETHER around the Harbor and enjoyed a nice breakfast. The hotel staff were surprised that we were up so early on a weekend. I guess we are so used to being early risers we can't sleep in when we have the chance (a curse!). Our last stop was the outlet mall where we could not find any great deals except a couple things for the kids. It was a fun day with my hubby! What a joy to be married to my sweetheart!

Jack's Birthday Party

We had a "formal" birthday for Jack a week after his birthday. Thanks to all the friends and family that came to celebrate and have a fun time of fellowship. Birthdays for little kids are for the adults really to chat and eat and for the older ones to have a big play date.

Thanks to my Mom who did the large cupcake that Jack was not too interested in but tasted good to us and looked cute!
