What a Roth day looks like

Well this is what a jumbled day looks like....I loaded them in order but they obviously aren't but that's okay. Some of the pictures are certainly NOT typical of our day...like Jack putting underwear on his head, but his pants around his ankles is pretty normal around here. And Katy reading constantly is very normal...love that! And the Hostess Cupcake thing...NOT normal! I was in Target one day and Katy said there was something she had seen many times and wanted to try and so we followed her to the bread aisle and there they were...the Hostess Cupcakes on sale so I thought that my kids should try their first Hostess treat. I kinda had to remind my conscience that this was not wrong, since it is not an every week or month occurrence in our home. Infact I've been a Mom for 9 years and never bought a box of Twinkies, Hostess cupcakes, Little Debbie item or the like. Why? Because my Mom didn't and so I don't. I make my own sweets for them...so much more fun I think :)! OK, so now that the whole Hostess thing took up a lot of time :(. I found Katy teaching Jack how to button a button on a sweater and she helped me fold a load of clothes. I also made this salad that was a bunch of leftovers but super yummy. I found a new lite dressing and since I am trying to eat more veggies I thought I'd try it. I used Spinach, whole wheat fettucine, cuties, red bell peppers, almonds, sesame seeds, and chicken. So there you have it...a glimpse of our day.

Trip to Nannie and Papas for Thanksgiving

This is one of three posts and they start from last fall and go through Christmas. Sorry for the delay, I just can't seem to get around to blogging when school is in session. We did enjoy a nice Thanksgiving with some snow at my parents. It didn't snow at their house but we just had to drive up a couple miles and go on a hike that had snow left on it. The kids loved seeing the snow and Katy was able to make a snow angel.

Knott's Berry Farm

We took a long awaited trip to Knott's when some friends got us in at a discount. I grew up going their since my grandparents lived close by so it was fun to have my kid's experience it too. They loved it and can't wait to go again next year.

Christmas

It is always a long time between blogs, mostly it's because I don't remember to take pictures during the school year, we just get so busy with our daily routine. I only took a half dozen pictures at Christmas because I could barely crawl out of bed from the stomach virus. But we had a great Christmas because despite feeling yucky, He is our Savior, and He is praised in sickness or in health.
